John Canacott

Managing Director

Formally MD of Pentagon for 10 years and then MD of Irish International Proximity, John has over 25 years experience in the industry. A known specialist in telecoms and financial services and the key developer of Publicis D’s integrated sales and marketing services model. John’s experience and expertise is particularly evident in the development of customer acquisition and retention strategies for Publicis D clients. John is a Graduate Member of the MII, holds an MBA from Durham University Business School and is currently working on a Doctorate on 'Total Integration'. An avid fan of all sports and as a keen runner John has completed a number of marathons across Europe.

Julie O'Donnell

Board Account Director

An experienced healthcare PR and digital marketing professional, Julie advises companies on emerging online opportunities and how to embrace digital solutions. Julie joined Publicis D Healthcare from M+C Group where she was Integrated Communications Manager and Business Unit Head of M+C Digital. Prior to this she held leading roles with PR firms First Medical Communications and Bvisible Communications. Julie holds an honours degree in Biochemistry from UCC and postgraduate diplomas in PR and Event Management, Digital Marketing and Website Design. Her unique understanding of traditional PR, marketing and industry knowledge fuels creative campaigns which deliver maximum brand awareness, market penetration and cost effectiveness.

Martin Farrell

Creative Director

Martin is a long serving member of the team and was formerly the Creative Director at Pentagon for 10 years before joining Irish International Proximity. Martin brings unrivalled, award winning, expertise in Sales Promotion, DM and all aspects of design to Publicis D, together with a wide and varied music collection to keep the creative department humming.

Padraig Moran

Financial Director, Publicis Group

Padraig is a graduate of UCD and began his career at KPMG in Dublin. He joined what was then QMP D’Arcy as Finance Director in 1985. He is now Financial Director of the Publicis Group. Padraig’s industry knowledge is only surpassed by his ability to remember key moments from various sporting events across many codes most notability the famous Offaly victory over Kerry in 1982.

Gerard Keating

Financial Director, Publicis D

Gerard is a qualified Certified Accountant with over 15 years industry experience. Having previously worked for TBF Thompson (Ireland), Tedcastle Oil and Gateway EMEA, he joined the Publicis Group in 2002. He is a keen golfer and enjoys supporting the Dublin GAA team, Leinster Rugby and Man Utd.

Keith Flynn

Sales Director

Having joined Publicis D in 2007 from his position within Eircom where he was responsible for sales to the large construction sector for a number of years, Keith now heads up the sales services teams within Publicis D and has a significant role in developing business for Sky and other key clients. Keith's passion for cars is only exceeded by his love of outdoor pursuits which saw him take on the Irish 5 peaks challenge recently.

Noormala Ilyani

Accounts Assistant

Noormala joined the Publicis Group Finance department in 2006 as part of her practical working experience as an Account Assistant. She is now a member of  ACCA and holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from DBS. Her primary duties include assisting the Financial Controller in all financial, accounting and operational aspect of the company. During her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading and socialising.

Deirdre Kelly

Senior Account Director

Deirdre is former founder director of Pentagon and a specialist in financial services. Deirdre has over 15 years experience across the marketing industry working in partnership with clients such as Eircell (now Vodafone), Hibernian Insurance (now Aviva), Ulster Bank Group, eircom and Diageo. Deirdre is head of client service and puts success down to “strong relationships, loyalty to your team and mutual respect and trust of clients".

Ian McCabe

Account Director

During his time at Clockwork Management Ian was involved in the management of key events such as  The Budweiser Irish Derby, The Guinness All Ireland Hurling Championship and The Smithwicks Cat Laughs Festival. Since joining Publicis D in early 2008 Ian has taken on a key role in managing the needs of Heineken, Sky and FBD Insurance with the same dedication which saw him retain the “Golden Boot” in the inter agency cup with his goal poaching skills.

Julie Morone

Reception

Publicis D were fortunate to tempt Julie away from her previous post within The Portobello Institute where she held the positions of Client Services Manager and Course Coordinator. Having earlier completed a 6 year period working in the Financial Services sector for Invesco Fund Management, the experience Julie brought to her role within Publicis D has been considerable. Outside of keeping all of the team on track Julie is also a qualified Life Coach and Health Consultant.

Cormac O’Connor

Senior Designer

Cormac Graduated from DIT Mountjoy Square in 2000 with a BA Honours Degree in Visual Communications. He is a Multi award winning designer with over 10 years experience in some of the top design agencies in Ireland.

He brings up the digital side of Publicis D with expertise in designing for web, mobile web & apps and all things digital, which adds to his already extensive knowledge and experience of print, brand identity, animation & motion graphics.

He loves apples, favourite colour is blue and  cycles to work everyday irrespective of rain, sleet or snow.

Fran Tyrrell

Graphic Designer

Fran is a recent addition to Publicis D and holds a MA in Professional  Design Practice from D.I.T. She has worked with a wide variety of clients in the past such as Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer.

Fran’s interests include art, music, film and has recently developed a love for running.

Derek O’Rourke

Senior Designer

After graduating from DIT Marketing & Design with a degree in Visual Communications, Derek worked with Irish International Proximity for 7 years as a Graphic Designer where he gained extensive design experience specialising in Direct Marketing & Brand Identity projects. Derek has been a key member of the creative department of Publicis D since late 2007 and is also know for turning defenders inside outside out as well as keeping goalies on their toes!

Jonathon Ryan

Junior Designer

Jonathon, a graduate of IADT Dun Laoghaire went on to work with a leading publishing house, responsible for designing for national titles including Car Buyers Guide and Farm & Plant. His experience also includes working on such brands as Nokia and 3 Mobile within the design industry and has recently brought his creative flair to the Publicis D team along with his many swimming trophies.

Vena Doyle

Account Manager

Vena joined Publicis D from St Patrick's Festival where she worked for two and a half years as Sponsorship Executive. Having graduated with an honours degree in Arts, Politics and Irish from UCD, she was bitten by the marketing and communications bug and completed a post-graduate diploma in Event Management and PR with Fitzwilliam Institute.

Since joining Publicis D, Vena has brought her creativity and account management to clients such as The Irish Sun, Barnardos, Bannon Commercial, Fyffes and Whirlpool. During her free time, when she is not shoe shopping, Vena enjoys taking trips around Europe.

Mary O'Callaghan

Senior Account Manager

A graduate of UCC in Commerce and Marketing with over 9 years experience. Mary joined Publicis D in early 2007 from Wella Professionals where she managed a number of leading hair care brands. Since joining Publicis D, Mary has worked on a broad range of clients such as Sanofi, Wella Professionals, Ulster Bank, eircom PhoneWatch before helping establish the healthcare division where she has enjoyed working on a diverse range of therapeutic areas for both Rx and OTC. Mary’s specialities include innovative print production, TV and radio campaign management. Mary believes that core to a successful campaign is understanding and enjoying client relationships.

Hazel Roe

Field Sales Manager

Hazel joined Publicis D in April 2012 from the telecommunications industry where she led a team responsible for sales and marketing to O2’s corporate business customers. Having studied English and Psychology in UCD, she decided a change was in order and graduated from DIT with a BSc in Marketing in 2009. Hazel is now part of our sales services team where she works closely with Sky developing business. In her free time, Hazel can be found on the Irish show jumping circuit with her trusty steeds where she is an avid competitor. She also holds Horse Sport Ireland and National Coaching and Training Ireland coaching qualifications.

David Allen

Field Sales Manager

David joined us in April 2012 from his previous position as a financial consultant in PSRA advising public sector employees. Prior to this David held similar positions in Cornmarket and Ulster Bank as well as spending 4 years in the motor industry as Business Manager with Tallaght Ford. David is now part of our sales service team and works closely with Sky to develop their business nationwide. Outside of Publicis D, David is a keen footballer who follows his beloved Man United at every opportunity.

 A graduate of Business Studies from DCU, Damien comes from a sales and finance background having worked in Hewlett-Packard Ireland. As a self confessed "Spreadsheet Jockey" he joined Publicis D June, 2011. Outside of the office, Damien enjoy's all kinds of film and music he can get his hands on.

Claire O'Neill

Account Manager

Claire joined us in 2010 having previously worked in Coty Ireland where she worked across a variety of cosmetics brands. Claire has a BSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from NUI Maynooth but was tempted by the world of marketing and then completed a MSc in Marketing in DIT. Since joining Publicis D Claire has worked closely with clients such as Sky, Renault and LinkedIn. In her spare time Claire can be found in the cosmetics hall in Brown Thomas topping up her already extensive make up collection.
